100 Years Of Horror Podcast: The Undying Monster

From horrorphilia.com-

"It took us a few years, but we’re finally kicking off the ’40s in style with this stylish werewolf tale from 1942, ‘The Undying Monster’ starring James Ellison, Heather Angel and a young Charles McGraw in an uncredited role. Filmed by the underrated German director John Brahm, the story blends the age-old werewolf tale with an old, creaky mansion and the idea that the Hammond family at the center of the story carries with them a generations-old curse. Coming just a year off the release of Universal’s ‘The Wolf Man’, ‘The Undying Monster’ took a hit in the box office for being considered a rip-off, though in later years it’d be recognized for Brahm’s expressionist style of framing and directing along with a thrilling, original story. Take the Phantom Erik’s hand as he and Lester open their own creaky doors to the 1940s and read off some great listener-submitted suggestions for ’40s flicks!"
