"The mad family of the Phantom Erik and Lester Reaper are with you again to present Bert I. Gordon’s 1966 film, ‘Picture Mommy Dead’. Along with discussing Gordon’s “legacy”, the two also re-visit some popular ‘mad-family’ horror films, which along with the splatter of the ’60s was a popular sub-genre in itself. The film itself is a more competent feature from Gordon, as opposed to his giant monster flicks of the ’50s, telling the story of a young girl trying to remember and cope with the presumed murder of her mother, as the rest of her family conspires around her for a trust fund worth millions.
