Cthulhu Mythos RPG News: Miskatonic University Podcast Episode 6- Hit me if you can

From mu-podcast.com-

"We start off episode 6 with our first liner! Our buddy Hugh from Melbourne sent in a great liner for us. That’s what we’re looking for, folks!

We got more great feedback from our listeners. We love to hear from you!

Erik wanted to know what other games we enjoyed, and if we used any other systems to run Cthulhu Mythos adventures. He recommended Precis Intermedia’s genreDiversion and Eden Studios‘ offerings.

Brian Sammons wrote in to compliment the sound quality and production values. Thank you very much Brian!

Brian Courtemanche wrote us back to tell us about the publications he’s had a hand in: Arkham Now sourcebook (Chaosium, 2010) “Grave Secrets” scenario in Terrors from Beyond (Chaosium 2009) “The Crystal Cavern” scenario in More Adventures in Arkham Country (PDF) (Miskatonic River Press 2010).
Episode 42 of Yog Radio has a great interview with Brian shortly after his Arkham Now book came out. (The episode is available to Yog-Sothoth Patrons)

Phil recommends the alliterative title, “Antiquarian Analyses” for our reviews section. I rather like it, and I’ll see what I can cobble together for a bumper.

Not only did Hugh send us our first true liner, but he also left us a great iTunes review for his region.

We love your iTunes Reviews! Please stop by there and leave us a review and rating.

Postcards from the Dungeon podcast episode 77 had a great interview with a gamer archaeologist. They talk about his occupation in great detail and he goes into how he creates new cultures for games based on his training and several questions he put together for guidance.

In the Special Collections vault, we crack open the cover of the legendary Unausprechlichen Kulten, known in English as Nameless Cults.
I used the Keeper’s Companion Volume 1 for details about the tome.

Our main topic covers the skills for combat. We talk about the various attack skills available to characters, and then begin covering the Spot Rules with Armor. It turns out that swords is a skill family that gets a lot of mileage in this show.
The remaining Spot Rules will be covered in coming episodes. That will include dodge, parry, block, impales, and the Spot Rules for firearms.

This is the discussion thread for this podcast posted on the Yog-Sothoth forums."
