i don't understand the reason for the face palm. there are "pagans"/ceremonial magician-types who specialize in Cthulhu Cult magic. and of course they use the Necronomican as their spellbook.
ReplyDeleteNot to be a buzzkill, but I'm a pagan and I can confirm that none of the pagans I know use fictional books in our spell casting. And I question whether a Cthulhu-cultist (a religion based on a series of horror novels? Uh huh...) is correctly termed "pagan". Now Chaos Magickians, those people will use ANYTHING as a sigil....that's what I love about those guys. And I am a huge Lovecraft fan. Huge. But I'm a Star Wars fan too, and I don't go around saying I'm a Jedi......
