About the Filmmaker
Mike Schiff serves as writer, director, producer, director of photography, and editor. Mike resides in the Bronx, NY and has spent the last year traveling the country in order to film the interviews. This project was initially made possible with friend, Robert L. Lucas who has strong ties in the horror and heavy metal industry. From working eight years at the Howard Stern Show, Mike also developed many strong connections in the entertainment industry as well.

What We Need
$50,000 is the amount being requested for completion funds. The money will go towards attorney fees, insurance, travel, post production, promotion, talent fees, licensing, etc.
While $50,000 should get the project completed, additional donations will help get the project completed sooner and with greater production quality. The more money raised, the more cool stuff can be added to the project.
If the goal of raising the current amount is not obtained, the available funds will go towards the essential elements of the project and a new campaign may take place within the year.
What You Get
Please see the "Perks" page for what you will receive for your donation of $25 or more.
Distribution
As the promotion for this project launches, various distributers will be contacted for deals. Having the promotional video as a sample will provide distributers with an idea of what the documentary is all about and what to expect from the completed project.
Risks & Challenges
Producing a documentary like this is no simple task. It requires a lot of material from popular films, music videos, live events, etc. And while the Fair Use Law can be used in order to include these elements, some rights may need to be paid for. The challenge of this will be fully realized once the elements have been included and evaluated by attorneys.

While this project is expected to be completed within one year, there are no guarantees. All donators must understand that their donations are non-refundable and perks such as DVD's are only guaranteed upon completion and release of the project. The only thing that can be guaranteed is the special thanks on the website, metalhorror.com for donations of $500 or more.

Other Ways You Can Help
In addition to monetary donations, spreading the word about this project will be a great help.
