We started making candles as gifts a few years ago, which is about the time I (Lauren Rock) left my full-time job to pursue something I was really passionate about. My lovely partner (Robert Peterson) suggested I start selling the candles everyone loved so much. I enjoy making candles, but I hesitated. The candle market is already so saturated -- how could we possibly stand out? Then we started getting ideas for all kinds of fun candles based on pop-culture themes. The list of ideas grew and grew before we finally decided to start producing. Now Boonzy Arts has a wide range of pop-culture-themed candles with beautifully designed labels, as well as a more traditional line of scented candles."
