Petition To Recognize Nathan Grayson's lack of journalistic integrity #GamerGate plz RT

From change.org-

"(Note: This petition has been re-opened in light of further evidence being provided, for instance Grayson hanging out in a bed with Quinn before the article was written, and other members of Kotaku staff donating to Zoe Quinn's patreon which I personally find fucking appalling as a student of journalism. I also saw a tweet where Zoe called journalists bloggers which shows her lack of respect toward any of the arguments presented therein (though I saw Jason Schrier respond to that in a positive way, thank goodness). Still, this demonstrates a larger lack of respect inside that culture for good journalism. Time for Kotaku to step up and prove themselves. If they are journalists, it's time to prove it and have solidarity with those who believe in good journalism.)

In the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics, journalists are told to be accountable in these ways:

— Clarify and explain news coverage and invite dialogue with the public over journalistic conduct.
— Encourage the public to voice grievances against the news media.
— Admit mistakes and correct them promptly.
— Expose unethical practices of journalists and the news media.
— Abide by the same high standards to which they hold others.

Nathan Grayson, one of your reporters, slept with high-profile game designer Zoe Quinn. He will not admit to this, but there is proof that it happened before a 3/31 article by Grayson referencing Quinn as Stephen Totilo reported on his twitter here.

The aforementioned article is a long piece about a game jam meant to be televised and gone awry. Grayson's piece is here, which quotes Quinn.

Even if his coverage was not significantly swayed by Quinn, what he did is covered in Journalism 101: Don't sleep with a source that you're going to use! Ever! To do otherwise is gonzo journalism, otherwise known as editorial and not reporting.

We believe his actions can and will continue to affect his news judgment. He might repeat his actions with another source, compromising his judgment further.

A news source needs to be accountable for the ethics of its employees. Gawker and Kotaku are no exception. Without this accountability, you will lose trust with your readers.

Unless you make it known publically that Grayson's behavior is unacceptable, this story will continue to fester until Kotaku is infamous for it.

Therefore, this is what must happen:

Kotaku needs to let Nathan Grayson know that this behavior is unacceptable for a reporter. Grayson needs to be reprimanded and forced to make an ethical statement about his relationship with Quinn when he covers the indie games scene in the future."
