"Is there something pulling us down? It certainly isn’t Alfonzo Cauron’s latest feature Gravity which we caught up with and give our thoughts on. No, the problem is scheduling. With your hosts travelling out of town to a variety of destinations (including a bucket list item for Ted), we had trouble getting a themed episode together this week… and it shows. We had an idea to tackle ‘stranded’ as a subject including scenarios and strategies but things came up woefully short. At least we had some great laughs and got to discuss at least one spectacular film.
In true From The Hip fashion we were all over the map this episode but ended up with some interesting talking points. Anthony gives us a status report on The Walking Dead having made it through the first few episodes of season 2 – his conclusion may surprise you. Ted provides a final verdict on The Walking Dead point and click game, we discuss the brand new Machete Kills, the few weeks old Insidious Chapter 2 and… oh man – the brand new William Shatner album Ponder the Mystery! Throw in some unearthed “lost” episodes of Doctor Who and a Simpsons couch gag directed by Guillermo del Toro and packed with genre homages as schlock corner and we’ve got ourselves a show.
