SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First things first-
Rick. It looks like in the aftermath of season 3, Rick has abandoned the role of leader and law enforcement. Not a bad idea for him to take some time off after the trauma he went though last season.
Carl. Many think Carl was becoming a mini-governor after last season. Carl however continues to show he is a realist and is more mature than most of the group.
Daryl and Carol. So... whats the deal? Are they knocking boots or what?
Carol has become the mother hen to many of the prisons children. She also seems to be teaching the children self defense, apparently against the wishes of Rick. Clearly this is her reaction to her own daughter being killed in season 2.
Hershel is still the spiritual voice of the group, and is still giving Rick sage like advice, urging him to let the sins of the past die.
Glenn and Maggie had a brief pregnancy scare. We knew it would happen sooner or later. Glenn seems to be scared of bringing a child into this zombie filled world just like Lori was in season 2.
Michonne. Still on a seek and destroy mission to bring the governor, but also has become more of a member of the group. Clearly she and Carl have continued to bond since their working together to get a photo of Lori last season, and that ugly cat thing.
Beth, has a REAL bad track record with boyfriends getting eaten. Poor girl.
And last, our man Daryl. He is on the town council, helping lead and showing that he is no longer the angst filled loner he was in season one and two. He kicked a ton of walker heads in showing he is still the resident bad-ass of the group. But also comforted Beth in her time of need, had a funny moment on the supply trip with Michonne and with a kid at the prison. And had a tender moment with Carol.
So things are as awesome as ever! Season 4 is going to be the best ever!
